After growing up in Jamaica, Queens, John played football at Bucknell University and graduated with a degree in fine arts. He later went to drama school at New York University and after graduation, found work building and painting scenery off-Broadway at the Hudson Guild Theatre.
After going to Cooper Union for architecture, John returned to his acting roots and enrolled in a program at Circle in the Square in New York and then co-founded the Willow Cabin Theatre Company, which he is still involved with by way of acting and production.
John had several roles on soaps before landing at GH including Philip Spaulding on GL, Gabe McNamara on “Another World” and John Sykes on One Life to Live.
His other roles have included stints on “The Black Donnellys,” “Sex in the City,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and others.
John is married with three kids.
